Where do the pebbles come from?

Pebble collecting is an ongoing occupation, it takes years. Unfortunately, I have to buy a lot of pebbles, otherwise I would spend all my time sitting on beaches and by rivers!

Anyway, its illegal to take quantities of pebbles from beaches - although permission can be obtained if you are only going to collect a few buckets-full rather than a tip-up truck-full.

I'm very happy to use your own pebbles as long as they are the right size and shape.
